Frequently Asked Questions

What would you like to know?

  • I've never hired a private investigator before. How does this work?

After a brief telephone conversation, we'll meet with you at a time and place of your choosing to discuss your case. We'll review the general situation and the desired results, collect the necessary information from you, then formulate a course of action that meets your needs. We'll sign a contract and begin work on your case. You'll be updated daily or weekly as you choose, and when the case is concluded you will receive a final report upon payment of the invoice.

  • Can you guarantee results?

The only thing we can guarantee is good customer service and solid investigative work. Sometimes the record doesn't exist, the suspected fraud isn't, the thieving employee doesn't, or the witness refuses to give a statement. There are too many factors beyond our control to guarantee results, but we will do everything possible within the law.

  • How much will this cost?

For listed flat rate services, only that fee with no additional costs. For all other investigations, there is a minimum charge of four hours of investigative services plus additional expenses as necessary. See our Fee Schedule for details.

  • How will I know the outcome?

In any way you wish. We can update you daily by phone or email, and your final report can be verbal, text file or PDF, or a hard copy. We will usually have the report to you within 24 hours of completing work on your case. More complex cases may require more time to complete the report.

  • When will you start on my case?

If you don't provide us a specific time for something like a surveillance, in most instances we will begin work on your case within 48 hours.

  • What if the subject of the investigation finds out?

Arizona law states that we may not release case information to anyone but you, our client, without a court order. Your identity as our client will likewise not be divulged.

A Word About Specialization

Many investigative agencies specialize in one sector of the industry or one aspect of the investigative process. Venator believes that your questions should be answered with just one stop. If we don't have the expertise needed for all parts of a thorough investigation, we have an extensive list of contacts who can help you find the clarity you need.
